Kaizer Chiefs DDC coach Vela Khumalo has opened up on the significance of his side facing the Manchester United U21 side as part of their international tour.
As a reward for their maiden DStv Diski Challenge victory last season, Amakhosi will embark on an 11-day DDC International Tour of Europe. The trip is scheduled to run from 25 November to 7 December.

The tour will also see them take on two other English clubs, Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers.
Khumalo expressed his delight for his troops, who made history with their league title triumph last season, winning it with a remarkable record of 70 points.
He says the trip is an earned reward that offers the players an exposure and the challenge of facing top international teams.
“More than anything, it’s exposure for the boys, they did well last year, 70 points,” said Khumalo.
“And now playing against Manchester is going to be a huge one, we’re playing Leeds, we’re playing QPR.
“But more than anything else, it’s exposure for them and it’s a reward for them. I’m happy for them, we’re looking forward to the tour.”
Khumalo noted that the success of last season has inspired the new group of players in the DDC team, motivating them to achieve the same feat.
“Even this group of players, they want to win the league again but I know what it takes for us to win the league,” he added.
“Yes, we started very slow, even today [on Sunday], we lost points. Teams, all of them, they sit back and don’t wanna play.
“But it’s a good assignment as coaches on how do we help them to unlock teams that play defensively.”
