Orlando Pirates have confirmed their starting lineup for this afternoon’s CAF Champions League 2nd Preliminary Round 1st Leg against St Eloi Lupopo at Stade Kibassa Maliba.
Having gone 11 matches without a loss in all competitions this season, the Buccaneers know that the first of two legs in this crucial qualification round comes with a spot in the group stages of Africa’s elite club competition up for grabs.
The Sea Robbers beat Lesotho side Lioli FC 7-0 on aggregate to book their place in the second round of the CAF Champions League while Lupopo narrowly beat Sudan side Al-Merrikh 1-0 on aggregate.
Having lost in semi-final to Pyramids FC last season, Pirates will look to go a step further this season and possibly clinch the trophy but there’s still a long way to go.
