Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting lineup for this afternoon’s CAF Champions League 2nd Preliminary Round 1st Leg against Remo Stars at M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium.
South African champions Sundowns return to the continental football this afternoon against the Nigerian champions since losing the CAF final against Pyramids FC with Remo Stars aiming to reach the group stages for the first time in club’s history. The Sky Blue Stars eliminated Comoros side US Zilimadjou beating them 5-0 on aggregate.

Sundowns went as close as reaching the final last season and lost to Pyramids and the Betway Premiership champions come into this game with their tails between their legs after they were knocked out the Carling Knockout Cup.
No South African side has ever won in Nigeria, with Sundowns having already lost to Lobi Stars and Enyimba previously.
