Carnell Earns MLS Award Nomination

Philadelphia Union head coach Bradley Carnell has been nominated for the MLS Coach of the Year award.

The South African-born tactician most recently guided Union to the 2025 Supporters’ Shield title and has been pitted alongside Jesper Sørensen [Vancouver] and Mikey Varas [San Diego] for the award.

The 47-year-old former Bafana Bafana left-back was appointed as head coach of Union in January this year after succeeding Jim Curtin who had been at the helm for a decade-long tenure.

Carnell previously led St. Louis City to a successful inaugural MLS season in 2023.
