Junior Makes Pirates Prediction

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has predicted that Orlando Pirates will win their second leg second round preliminary CAF Champions League match against St Eloi Lupopo but will not progress to the group stage.

Pirates come into the encounter trailing 3-0 from the first leg played in DR Congo last week and will need to score four goals and not conced to be able to qualify for the group stage of the tournament.

Khanye says the Buccaneers will approach the game attack-minded and pumping the ball behind the defense and can get at least two goals.

However, he added that the visitors have mastered the art of scoring away in previous meetings against South African teams and after scoring at home there is a real opportunity they will score in Orlando on Saturday afternoon.

“Pirates will win 2-1 or 2-0 but I don’t think they’ll go through” said Khanye on IDiski TV.

“It’s going to be difficult I’m sure they’ve learned a lesson. They [Lupopo] have come away and been able to score so there is a possibility they will score today.

“They have got the experience of scoring away I mean if they scored in more than two games it tells you they are capable.

“They have a strategy and maybe it’s something they also practice. Pirates will win 2-1 or 2-0 but won’t go through.”
