Remo Stars coach Tiago Conde has predicted Mamelodi Sundowns‘ Betway Premiership and CAF Champions League fate this season.
Remo were eliminated from the Champions League by Masandawana, suffering a heavy 7-1 aggregate defeat in the two-legged second preliminary round.

Masandawana started the competition strongly this season, determined to lift the trophy after their defeat by Pyramids in last season’s final.
While Conde expressed uncertainty about how the Tshwane giants will fare in the domestic league this season, he sounded certain that they could achieve success in the Champions League.
He believes that Sundowns will reach the semifinals of the competition and could very well go on to win the trophy if they get to that stage.
“I’m expecting Mamelodi Sundowns to be among three or four teams that have capacity to win this competition, for sure,” said Conde.
“I cannot see more teams with the capacity they have. They have a mix of South African players, Brazilian players and Portuguese players.
“They have a Portuguese coach as well. So, I’m sure…I don’t know if they can get the domestic championship but I’m expecting that they can be champions in the CAF Competition.
“I’m sure Mamelodi can be one of the teams that will be in the semi-finals. If they get there, they can be ready to get into the final and win [the competition]. That’s what I’m thinking.”
