Richards Bay co-coach Ronnie Gabriel has praised veteran striker Gabadinho Mhango’s progress since joining the club and his positive influence on young players.
The Malawian international sored a late equaliser in the Betway Premiership match against Sekhukhune United on Tuesday night at the Peter Mokaba Stadium to see his side in 11th spot on the log with 13 points in 12 outings.

This was his fourth goal of the season with Gabriel saying that’s exactly why the club brought him in and for this to also rub off on the youngsters.
“Ja, we think fantastic progress,” said Gabriel.
“So far, he has been influential. We brought him in to score goals and he’s scoring goals leading the youngsters as well, in terms of giving them the guidance and what is required at this level.
“As you know that we got a very young squad and that type of influence, it rubs onto the youngsters. So, it’s positive energy in the group.”
