Thembinkosi Lorch has continued his red-hot form in Morocco, scoring the winner for Wydad Athletic Club to send them to the top of the Botola Pro log.
Wydad beat Hassania d’Agadir 2-1 on Wednesday evening to move to 17 points on the log.
Stephane Aziz Ki scored the opener for Wydad after just six minutes while Lorch double the advantage after just 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Bakhkhach cut one back just four minutes later in an exciting opening frenzy. However, after those three early goals things calmed down and Wydad managed to bring the three points home.
The win saw Wydad move past rivals Raja CA, who beat KACM 1-0 on Tuesday, and MAS de Fes. The two challengers have 15 points from seven games, while Wydad have 17.
It was already Lorch’s fourth game of the season in just eight games in 2025/26 so far.
