Ouaddou Gives Update On Nduli, Ndah & Makhaula

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has provided latest update on Sihle Nduli, Olisa Ndah and Makhehleni Makhaula.

Nduli sustained an injury during Wednesday evening’s Betway Premiership match against Golden Arrows, forcing him to be substituted before halftime.

Ouaddou revealed that Nduli has returned to Johannesburg and is unlikely to feature in Saturday’s Carling Knockout Cup semi-final against Richards Bay.

“He is in Johannesburg with our medical department,” said Ouaddou during the Carling Cup pre-match press conference.

“I’d be lying to you if I said I have all information. Now, he is under assessment, I hope this afternoon [Thursday] we will have some information about him.”

Ouaddou confirmed that both Makhaula and Ndah are back in full training. However, the team is opting for a cautious approach regarding the timing of their return to action.

“Makhaula and Ndah are back in full training, they are training normal [like other players],” he added.

“I’m very happy because they are two important players for us. They are doing well but again, when a player comes from the injury, there are many stages that you have to respect.

“We are very careful about these players because the most important thing is they have to be consistent and ready for full performance in the high-level game.

“We don’t want to take risk and injure them again. They are doing well but we are careful with them.”
