Sekhukhune believe that Arendse could bring a lot to the team and help the side to continue with their good season with the 1996-AFCON winner expected to join Babina Noko this week should everything be agreed on.
The 58-year-old saved SuperSport from being relegated last season on the last day, but he recently left the rebranded Siwelele FC after a few months in the new season.
United are currently led by Eric Tinkler, while the assistant coach is Marc Van Heredeen and the goalkeeper coach Nascent Nkhwashu.
They are currently sitting in fourth place with 21 points after 11 matches and will face Marumo Gallants after the international break.
