Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder Themba Zwane has revealed what he told national teammate Sipho Mbule ahead of his move to Orlando Pirates, saying he encouraged the latter to focus.
Mbule joined Pirates at the beginning of the current season at the back of widely-reported disciplinary issues he allegedly had on loan at Sekhukhune United and his former side Sundowns.

Mshishi, as Zwane is affectionately known, spoke to iDiski Times senior journalist Lorenz Köhler in edition 228 of the newspaper, where he addressed his relationship with Mbule and how he told the ‘Master Chef’ to work hard at his new club.
“Ja, 100%, I know the quality of Sipho,” Zwane told iDiski Times after the were seen exchanging a long hug during the celebrations of Bafana Bafana’s World Cup qualification.
“I mean, being close from when he played for SuperSport, and he came to Sundowns, we always have chatted together.
“I think he’s got the quality that is amazing. And for me, I knew that if Sipho focuses, obviously, he will be here in the national team, I mean, and we had small talks before he went to Pirates.
“I told him, I said, for me, ‘I think if you can push yourself, you will be in the national team, 100%’.
“And that’s what he did, and I’m happy for him, and he’s doing well, he’s putting more effort, he makes the team play, which is good for us.”
