MC Alger head coach Rulani Mokwena has identified Orlando Pirates midfielder Kabelo Dlamini as another strong candidate for the Bafana Bafana number 10 role.
With Themba Zwane sidelined in recent matches due to injury, Sipho Mbule has been operating in the playmaker position, preferred over teammate Patrick Maswanganyi, who was initially seen as Zwane’s natural successor by Hugo Broos.

Mokwena believes there is no need for concern regarding the role, insisting that Dlamini possesses the quality required to excel as South Africa’s chief creator.
“Kabelo Dlamini is an incredible number 10 also as an option,” said Mokwena during interview with SAFJA.
“He does very well with a striker like Tshegofatso Mabasa, who he can link up with and who he can find with a pass in and around the box for the final [pass].
“There’s a goal that Pirates scored against Lupopo, the Kabelo Dlamini’s assist with Apollis scoring the goal.
“That is the action of the number 10 in the qualities that Kabelo Dlamini possess in that position. We are rich with these types of technical qualities in South Africa. I don’t think we should be worried with who must play that position.
“Yes, there are so many qualities that Themba Zwane possesses that make him elite. You have to understand that even if you can’t replace him, you can get a player to function as number 10 and decide what kind of players to put around him.”
Bafana face Zambia in the international friendly match on Saturday, 15 November at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
