Mamelodi Sundowns and Saint-Éloi Lupopo have announced their respective starting line-ups for this afternoon’s CAF Champions League Group C clash at Loftus Versfeld.
The Brazilians were dominant in their second preliminary round of qualifying against Nigerian champions Remo Stars.
Sundowns showed their class as they hammered Stars 5-1 away before a 2-0 victory at home in the second leg of the tie.
Last season, Miguel Cardoso’s charges fell agonisingly short of claiming the continental crown losing to newly crowned Club of the Year Pyramids FC.
Lupopo on the other hand reached the group stage of the CAF Champions League after defeating last year’s semifinalists Orlando Pirates 3-0 at home in the first leg. They then lost by the same scoreline in Soweto but managed a 5-4 win on penalties to reach the group stage.
