Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has confirmed that the quartet of Fiacre Ntwari, Rushwin Dortley, Glody Lilepo and Aden McCarthy have all been ruled out of their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Zamalek due to injury.
Amakhosi have however received positive news with the availability of Khanyisa Mayo and Gaston Sirino. Mayo has been sidelined with a hamstring injury while Sirino was suspended for Chiefs’ way defeat to Al Masry last weekend.
Chiefs take on Egyptian giants Zamalek in the second Group D match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday as they look to register their first win since making a return to continental football.
Kaze confirmed Mayo and Sirino’s return also listing the number of players still recovering from knocks.
“As you can see for example Khanyisa Mayo is available for selection after spending a few weeks out of the field,” said Kaze at the pre-match press conference in Polokwane.
“Gaston Sirino is back as well from suspension.
“But there are players that have been like [Rushin] Dortley and Fiacre [ Ntswari] they are out for this game and as well as Glody Lilepo and Aden McCarthy have not recovered yet from their injuries for this game, but the rest of the players are available for selection.”
The clash takes place at 15:00.
