‘Tito’ got on the scoresheet on the afternoon for the Buccaneers by tapping in from close range after a well-timed pass from Oswin Appollis for his side’s second goal before being hauled off.
The industrious attacker will however sit out the final as Pirates go in search of their second silverware of the season after clinching the MTN8 title earlier on this season.
Maswanganyi, along with Lebone Seema and Sihle Nduli were on a suspension tightrope coming into this tie.
Pirates take on Marumo Gallants in this season’s Carling final on Saturday, 6 December, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
