After Bafana Bafana qualified for the Last 16 at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, they now await to find out which team they will face in the next round.
Hugo Broos’ men had to work harder than some may have expected, with the Belgian tactician admitting they need to improve, especially in defence if they want to go far.
After wins over Angola and Zimbabwe, and a defeat to Egypt, Bafana finished Group A as runners-up and will now face the runners-up from Group F, which will be decided on Wednesday.
The group is currently still wide open, with Ivory Coast and Cameroon sitting on four points, with Mozambique following in third with three. On Wednesday, Mozambique will face Cameroon, while Ivory Coast will battle Gabon, who are yet to collect a point.
Overall, 14 of the 16 teams in the Round of 16 have already been confirmed but the permutations for the first knockout round can still change.
