Senong Opens Up On Move To Highlanders

Former Sekhukhune United assistant coach Thabo Senong has opened up on his move to Zimbabwean club, Highlanders.

The former South Africa under-20 national team coach joined the Castle Lager Premier League side ahead of the upcoming 2026 campaign.

Senong replaced Pieter De Jongh who parted ways with the club when his contract expired at the end of the previous in December.

He penned a two-year contract to spearhead Bosso and will be assisted by the club’s former player Mkhokheli Dube, who also previously turned out for the Betway Premiership side AmaZulu FC.

Expressing his excitement, Senong described joining Zimbabwe’s oldest side as a significant project, noting that Bosso is among the most recognisable clubs on the African continent.

“It’s an honour to be here in Zimbabwe,” said Senong during the interview with Thabiso Mosioa on Radio 2000.

“We all know that Bosso is a big team not only in Zimbabwe but also known around the continent.

“But last season they just survived relegation. So, it’s a big holistic project”
