TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs have not submitted any offer for midfielder Puso Dithejane.
The 21-year-old is being sought after by the PSL big guns while he has also said to have attracted interest abroad.
A vital figure for the Mpumalanga-based outfit, the 21-year-old has maintained his impressive form from last season into the current campaign.
Thus far, he has recorded 10 goal involvements—four goals and six assists—across 15 matches this season.
Sukazi said Chiefs supporters should not raise their hopes, as their club has not submitted any offer for Dithejane.
He added that Chiefs officials, including Kaizer Motaung Jr, Tera Maliwa and DDC coach Vela Khumalo, have been attempting to contact the player privately but haven’t been successful.
“There’s no Chiefs offer for Dithejane at the moment, I don’t want the Chiefs fans to raise hopes thinking there’s an offer,” Sukazi said on Prime Time Sports on UKhozi FM.
“What happened is that on Sunday afternoon, I was with Dithejane. He showed me missed calls. One was from Kaizer Jr, Tera Maliwa and coach Vela Khumalo.
“There was even a player from Chiefs who phoned. These missed calls are coming straight to the player, not me. If they want to put an offer, we will talk with them.
“It’s surprising because football life is really something else. You must remember how Dithejane left Kaizer Chiefs, where they told him to be a ball boy when he wanted to play.”
