Chiefs Announce Squad For CAFCC Clash

Kaizer Chiefs have announced their traveling squad for the CAF Confederations Cup clash at ZESCO United.

Amakhosi are facing the Zambian side back-to-back, traveling to Zambia this weekend before hosting them next.

The two matches are of massive importance, as Chiefs are still looking for their first win in the CAFCC this season. There is even a bit of pressure on the Glamour Boys after collecting just one point from their games against Al Masry (1-2) and Zamalek (1-1).

With the two Egyptian giants facing each other twice, Amakhosi could climb up the Group C log, but their record against ZESCO and Zambian teams does not read rosy.

Chiefs have met ZESCO in the 2018/19 CAFCC playoff round and lost 5-2 on aggregate, after being defeated 3-1 and 2-1, respectively.

Overall, they have met Zambian teams four times, collecting three defeats and just one draw.

Chiefs started the year 2026 with a 1-0 win over Golden Arrows, with Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef likely to select a strong starting XI.

The co-coaches have confirmed their traveling squad, with Etiosa Ighodaro, Gaston Sirino, Thabo Cele, Ethan Chislett, Wandile Duba, Ashley Du Preez, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, George Matlou, Nkanyiso Shinga, Reeve Frosler, Bradley Cross, Rushwin Dortley and Fiacre Ntwari all absent.
