ZESCO Targeting Maximum Points Against Chiefs

ZESCO United head coach Mathews Ndhlovu aims for maximum points against Kaizer Chiefs after two defeats in the opening two matches.

ZESCO play a must-win match this afternoon against Chiefs, this comes after they lost their first two encounters against Zamalek SC and Al Masry and are currently at the bottom of Group D with no points.

The Zega Mambo, last played a competitive match in November which was before the AFCON. A win for them would mean they keep their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages alive.

Ndhlovu made it a mandate to get maximum points this afternoon even though Chiefs also have all to fight for as they haven’t won a game also in the CAFCC group stages.

“We have gone two games without winning, so it’s high time we collect three points,” Ndhlovu told the media.

“We respect Kaizer Chiefs, but we also have our history to build on. We need to give ourselves confidence and come up with a positive result.”
