Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Bongani Sam has been snapped up by Chippa United.
The 28-year-old has been in the football wilderness since parting ways with the Glamour Boys in July 2025.
Upon arriving at Naturena, the former Orlando Pirates left back was struck by injury and saw his tenure at the club come to an abrupt end without making a single competitive appearance.
Though his last club appearance came as far back as December 2023, he featured for Bafana Bafana’s CHAN squad which was during their first-leg qualifier against Egypt.
On Saturday afternoon, the Chilli Boys confirmed his capture, with the player also included in the match-day squad.
