Mahlambi Set For A Lifeline Move

Former Bidvest Wits, Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns striker  Phakamani Mahlambi is on the verge of completing a move to Botswana side Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

Mahlambi, 28, has been out of professional football for almost four years when he left Chippa United. The 28-year old has been struggling with injuries and off-the-field issues.

Two months ago he was training with TS Galaxy with hope of reviving his career and it would’ve been it sounded like a match-made-in-head to see him alongside his younger brother Seluleko Mahlambi, who has been doing very well for the Rockets this season.

However, the latest update received by this publication is that Mahlambi was asked to stop training with Galaxy before a potential move to Mochudi Centre Chiefs came up.

Before that he was training with Durban City in the beginning of the season, with hopes that his former coach Gavin Hunt could revive his career, but the Citizens opted against signing him.

At Mochudi Centre Chiefs he would fine several PSL players, such as Kaizer Chiefs youngster Bobo Sima, former Richards Bay left-back Benson Kitso Mangolo and former Maritzburg United striker Evans Rusike.
