Orlando Pirates have shown an interest in signing AmaZulu youngster Wandile Dube, iDiski Times has learnt.
The Buccaneers have been steadily strengthening their squad season after season, growing in depth and quality.
Their long-term planning has been evident as they look to build a squad capable of consistently challenging on all fronts.
During the recent January transfer window, Pirates added two new faces to reinforce their team as they continue their pursuit of a first league title since 2012.

The Soweto giants secured the services of Daniel Msendami and Mpho Chabatsane from Marumo Gallants. Notably, both players previously worked under Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou during his time at Gallants, a factor believed to have influenced their arrivals.
As preparations begin for the next campaign, Pirates are now lining up a potential move for a young highly rated defender Dube, whose contract with AmaZulu is set to expire at the end of the current season.
However, Usuthu do hold an option to extend the 21-year-old centre-back’s stay at the club, which could play a key role in any negotiations.
Dube came through AmaZulu’s youth academy and earned his senior team debut in August last year against Sekhukhune United in the Betway Premiership.
Since then, the promising defender has gone on to make six appearances in the competition, all as a substitute, gaining valuable top-flight experience as he continues his development.
It’s not surprising that Sea Robbers are looking to strengthen their defence, having parted ways with Mbekezeli Mbokazi and Olisa Ndah.
