CT City Extends Unbeaten Run To Nine Matches

Cape Town rallied from a goal down to thump struggling Midlands Wanderers 4-1 while log leaders Milford FC beat Highbury FC 1-0 in Sunday’s Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Kruger United welcomed Upington City in a tough battle and United took the lead in the 34th minute through Celimpilo Ngema. Bafana Ba Gucci equalized via Shane Saralina but with five minutes remaining, Khetukuthula Ndlovu made netted the winner for Kruger.

Pretoria University’s winless run was extended to three matches after suffering a 2-1 defeat against Leicesterford City. Sfiso Mazibuko opened the scoring for AmaTuks before Sipho Zwane and Sphamandla Mdunge scored two late goals to seal the win for City.

In the relegation battle between The Bees and Baroka, Bakgakga came out tops after a narrow 1-0 win. Karabo Seroto scored the only goal of the match.

Casric Stars dropped points away from home in their 2-2 draw against Hungry Lions. Meanwhile, Gomora United beat Black Leopards by 2-0. Leopards remain rooted to the bottom five points from safety.

In-form striker Therlo Moosa quickly scored a brace in the first half going into the break leading 2-1. Moosa completed his hat-trick at the start of the second half. Prins Tjiueza made it 4-1 to seal the victory.

Venda FC ended their two-match winless run beating Lerumo Lions 1-0.
