Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has dropped a bold statement regarding the squad rotation.
The French-Moroccan tactician was speaking after defeating Marumo Gallants 3–0 in the Betway Premiership at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday.

Ouaddou said he has been rotating the team because he wants to involve all the players at his disposal.
However, he stated that he is not here to “give gifts” — he rewards players who work hard in training.

“To keep the competition within the team, you need to involve everybody,” said Ouaddou.
“When I say involve everybody, I’m not here to give gifts. I evaluate the performance of the guys in training, the guys who are professional, who are working, they deserve to play.
“And they get the chance to play and are included in this rotation. This is very important if you want to be ambitious in any league.
“My mentality since I’m a coach is to have this kind of rotation. But the guys have to deserve it, it mustn’t be the gifts.”
The Buccaneers are at the summit of the league standings with 38 points after 16 matches, six points clear of second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, who are on 32 points.
