Chippa United head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi has confirmed that national team selectors are having a look at club goalkeeper Dumisani Msibi following his recent outstanding performances.
The Chilli Boys seem to have turned the corner after going five matches without a defeat and moved away from the relegation zone.

This has also seen Msibi step up and impress by keeping five consecutive clean sheets after the shock exit of Stanley Nwabali.
Msibi’s performances come at the right time as the FIFA World Cup is just four months away and Vilakazi hopes that he can be consistent and hopefully makes the cut for the final Bafana Bafana squad for the World Cup.
“They are looking at him, the people from the national team are looking at him. They are asking questions about him,” Vilakazi told the media.
“He just needs to improve his game and hopefully he sneaks in that World Cup squad, the sky is the limit for him.”
Msibi is a much-travelled shot stopper who has turned out for close to 10 clubs in the Betway Premiership, Motsepe Foundation Championship and ABC Motsepe League.
He started his career in the development ranks of the now defunct SuperSport United in 2014.
In 2025, he was on the books of Durban City before sealing a move to Gqeberha where he now looks settled at Chippa.
