Orlando Pirates and Casric Stars have announced their starting line-ups for the Nedbank Cup Last 16 clash at the Orlando Amstel Arena.
It’s somewhat of a David vs Goliath this afternoon when 10-time Nedbank Cup winners Buccaneers host Motsepe Championship side Casric Stars.
Pirates come to this game after a midweek defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns, and the wounded Buccaneers will be keen to get back to winning ways to keep their opportunity of winning four trophies alive, having already clinched MTN8 and Carling Knockout Cup.
Meanwhile, Stars will aim is to shock the country by knocking Pirates out. Bucs Mthombeni’s side have been doing well in the Motsepe Foundation Championship and wants to transfer those performances to this game.
This is the first time these two sides play against each other. Pirates have faced lower division sides five times in the Nedbank Cup in the last four seasons and have won all five.
