Richards Bay FC have made an announcement regarding their next home Betway Premiership match against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Natal Rich Boyz have been playing their home fixtures at the uMhlathuze Sports Complex this season, a venue that had been undergoing renovations for years following their promotion in 2022.
Richards Bay have confirmed that they will play their match against Amakhosi at the uMhlathuze Sports Complex, as many had perhaps expected the match to be moved to Moses Mabhida Stadium, a venue with greater capacity.
“Richards Bay Football Club would like to thank all the supporters who showed up in numbers at uMhlathuze Stadium and supported the club yesterday during our match against AmaZulu FC,” the club said in the statement.
“Your support is highly appreciated, The Club also wishes to inform the supporters that our next home fixture against Kaizer Chiefs FC on the 3rd March 2026 will be played at uMhlathuze Stadium at 19h30.
“An announcement will be made as soon as the tickets are available in stores. Supporters are also urged to come early to the stadium to avoid missing out on the great experience.”
Before they take on Chiefs, Richards Bay are still going to face Orbit College away on 28 February.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi host Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday at FNB Stadium before taking on Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in South Africa’s biggest fixture on the local football calendar.
