Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has explained how they are focusing on their match against Stellenbosch, with the Soweto Derby on the horizon.
Amakhosi will welcome Stellies to FNB Stadium in a Betway Premiership outing as they continue fighting for the league title.
In three days’ time, on Saturday, 28 February, they will face their fierce rivals, Orlando Pirates, at the same venue in the first Soweto Derby of the season.
Ben Youssef says their full focus is on Stellenbosch, and their thoughts are not even on Pirates, as they are taking each game one at a time.
“We’ve always discussed that we’re taking each game at a time and each game as a cup game,” said Ben Youssef.
“For now, we have Stellenbosch on our minds, we’re thinking about them at the moment.
“Then after that, we can start thinking about the Soweto derby. For us, every time we take each game at a time.”
Chiefs are currently fourth in the league standings with 30 points accumulated from 15 matches so far.
