iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye has called on Kaizer Chiefs players to shoulder responsibility after their shock defeat to Stellenbosch FC.
The Glamour Boys missed out on the chance to move third on the Betway Premiership standings after Stellies rallied from a goal down to beat them 2-1 at FNB Stadium.
Chiefs created numerous chances but failed to convert them and only went into the break leading 1-0 through Flavio Da Silva’s strike.
They were left to rue their missed chances as the Cape Winelands outfit emerged victorious on the evening via second half goals from Langelihle Phili and Devin Titus.
It was their second defeat of the campaign leaving them in fourth place with 30 points from 16 matches.
Junior touched on how teams do not fear Chiefs and made a strong plea for players to take responsibility.
“When you win ugly, you’ll lose games in a row,” Khanye said on iDiski TV.
“Kaizer Chiefs games when they were winning 1-0, 1-0 and 1-0, to me it was not convincing.
“A team that plays against Kaizer Chiefs is not scared.
“If you play against players at Kaizer Chiefs, I don’t think you can be scared.
“Players at Kaizer Chiefs also need to take responsibility. I mean there are mistakes that they make like that ball [Ashley] Du Preez missed.
“You can’t play for Chiefs and always want to point fingers at the coach.”
The Glamour Boys will look now seek redemption against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 28 February.
