Mbekezeli Mbokazi’s Chicago Fire picked up their first win of the season after a convincing 3-0 victory over CF Montreal on Saturday.

Mbokazi made his second start of the season, which was his first at Soldier Field in Chicago, the home ground for Chicago Fire and the Bafana Bafana international impressively kept a clean sheet.
Jonathan Mbaba opened the scoring in the 27th minute before two late goals from the penalty spot by Hugo Cuypers and Robin Lod sealed the victory.
Another South African who plies his trade at the club, Puso Dithejane remained an unused substitute.
Fire currently sits in 10th place and could drop further down depending on the results between Austin FC and DC United.
Chicago’s next match will see them take the trip to Columbus on Sunday, March 8.
