Official: De Reuck Makes Simba Decision

South African defender Rushine De Reuck has inked a new one-year contract extension at Simba SC.

The 30-year-old joined the 22-time Tanzanian Premier League champions Simba SC from Mamelodi Sundowns in July 2025.

De Reuck terminated his contract with Sundowns via mutual agreement after his return from a six month loan spell in Isreal with Maccabi Petah Tikva.

He had put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal with an option to extend with the Tazanian giants who returned to the CAF Champions League this season.

His move to Simba saw him reunited with his former head coach Fadlu Davids, under whom he won the Premier Soccer League Defender of the Season honour when they were together at Maritzburg United back in 2021.

Davids however departed for North Africa, but De Reuck has now been joined by another South African tactician in Steve Barker.

This season, he has found the back of the net three times for the Reds of Msimbazi, and has been handed the captain’s armband by Barker.
