Rulani Mokwena’s Mouloudia Club d’Alger extended their lead at the top to six points after a comfortable 2-0 win away from home against Paradou AC.
MC Alger came to this game after a thumping 5-0 win over ES Mostaganem and the Algerian Ligue 1 defending champions needed a win against struggling Paradou to keep grip of top spot.
A perfect start for Mokwena’s side as they took the lead in the 29th minute through a penalty from Mohamed Bangoura.
The Guinean midfielder made it five goals in the last three matches.
The Dean extended the lead in the 38th minute, making it 2-0 after a beautiful finish from midfielder Zakaria Naidji.
MCA went into the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
In the second half, they looked to keep the ball and control the game.
Paradou failed to trouble Mokwena’s side, and a seven-game defeat seemed more likely.
Six points clear at the top with three games in hand for MC Alger as they will shift focus to USM Khenchela at home, aiming to continue their journey of defending the title.
