Richards Bay Part Ways With Veteran Striker

Richards Bay FC have officially parted ways with Zimbabwean striker Knox Mutizwa, iDiski Times has learnt.

The forward, who joined the Natal Rich Boyz at the beginning of the current season after leaving Golden Arrows, departed the club after only a few months with them.

The 32-year-old made a total of 17 appearances across all competitions and managed to score four goals during his time with the team.

Despite his contribution, his departure has come as a shock, especially after he was instructed to leave the club early last week and subsequently stopped training with the squad.

The exact reasons behind the club’s decision remain unclear, particularly with only two months left before the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

His signing had initially come as part of efforts to reinforce the attack following the departure of Yanela Mbuthuma to Orlando Pirates.

Meanwhile, further changes are expected, with indications that more players could leave Richards Bay before the season ends.
