Junior Praises Chiefs Youngster After Magesi Win

iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye says has heaped praise on Kaizer Chiefs youngster Mfundo Vilakazi and reckons he will be dangerous through support.

The Amakhosi starlet scored in his side’s 2-0 win over Magesi FC in the league over the weekend, to help the Glamour Boys rise to fourth place on the standings with 36 points in 20 outings.

It was Vilakazi’s second league goal in his 13 appearances this season having also provided his only assist so far in the 1-0 victory against Durban City last week.

Khanye says the South African junior international is getting better with his technique and it will bear fruits for the club with continued support.

“Also Mfundi Vilakazi, this is what the boy needs to do for himself because he’s not good at taking somebody on, receive the ball laying,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.

“It can be dangerous. There was a ball he misjudge, it was a cross he miskicked it and it hit him. Defenders were just looking on, and he had the arrogance to finish with his weaker foot.

“He can’t take on players, but he has the basics and the skill to delay. And when a team is leading you can do those things, just be careful if it’s a 1-0 lead.

“What he’s doing right, now, it’s receiving the ball laying and whoever is telling him to do that at Kaizer Chiefs he must continue. He needs to be supported.

“Every time he gets the ball make the opposition think he’s going to take someone on, they will back paddle. He created a chance just like that last week and [Glody] Lilepo finished. He did the same today [Saturday] but [Gaston] Sirino the confidence was not there.”
