Broos Gives Bafana Injury Update

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has confirmed that he will have a full 23-man squad available for Tuesday’s match against Panama.

Bafana were held to 1-1 draw by the Central American side at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban last week.

They will now battle again at a sold-out DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Tuesday, with Broos revealing there have been no injuries setbacks ahead of the second tie.

“I can tell you that the 23 players are available for the game tomorrow, so no injuries, no sicknesses. Nothing,” Broos stated on Monday.

Broos also stated he was happy with Friday’s test, despite failing to win, and reiterated that Panama are a great opponent in preparation of their 2026 FIFA World Cup opener against Mexico.

“Secondly we take the game of tomorrow very seriously, we did a very good game on Friday and we want to confirm that tomorrow again against a very good opponent,” he added.

“I think the right choice to play against Panama two times. It was a good test already on Friday and tomorrow I expect a tough opponent, a good opponent also.

“It’s alright for the preparation, because that’s the main goal of the those two games – the preparation of the first game on the World Cup against Mexico in two months.”

The match kicks off at 19:30 at DHL Stadium on Tuesday.
