Beganovic Reacts To NBC Final Qualification

TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic says he’s always believed from the beginning that his side will do well in the Nedbank Cup this season.

The Rockets booked their second final in the Ke Yona Cup in seven years after defeating Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford FC in the semi-final 4-3 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in a 120 minutes.

Galaxy will now meet fellow Betway Premiership side Durban City, who saw off Casric Stars in the other semi-final.

The coach said he was emotional and that the magnitude of the victory will be realised a little later but insisted they now need to switch focus back on their next league match.

“You know there’s still emotions inside me,” Beganovic told SABC Sport.

“I know what we’ve achieved. I know what we have in the pocket, the final game but maybe tomorrow we’ll know better what we do this season in the Nedbank Cup.

“Massive competition, so many clubs involved in the Nedbank Cup. We beat four good opponents we played beautiful games at home. I think our supporters support us here in an amazing way. They push us to have success.

“From the beginning, from my first press conference I believed we can do something in the Nedbank Cup and I was right. I’m so so happy.

“Now this game is finished my attention is on Wednesday on our league game. We need to recover our team. We need to put attention on recovery and prepare to bring back energy and prepare our team for the league game.

“We want to be sure to collect some points and have an opportunity to fight for a top 8 spot because you know TS Galaxy has a clear vision. We want to follow that vision.”
