Former Pirates Striker On Fire In Asia

Former Orlando Pirates striker Kwame Peprah has been in superb goalscoring form in Asia this season.

Peprah, 25, left Pirates in 2023 and is currently on the books of two-time Cambodian champions Svay Rieng FC.

He joined the club from Kerala Blasters in India following a short stint with Hapoel Hadera in Israel after his exit from the Buccaneers.

This season, Peprah has scored 29 goals and set up 10 more in 34 appearances across all competitions.

He is currently the leading goalscorer in the Cambodian Premier League with 20 goals, two ahead of second-placed Mark Ajay Kurita.

His side, Svay Rieng also comfortably lead the log with 65 points from 25 games – an impressive 15 points ahead of second-placed Phnom Penh.

Rieng are also in the semi-finals of the AFC Challenge League, with Peprah scoring six goals in five games in the competition, while they also won the Cambodian Super Cup earlier in the season.

Peprah was on the books of Pirates between August 2021 and July 2023, scoring nine goals in 44 appearances.
