Chippa United have confirmed they are currently dealing with a transfer ban from FIFA over outstanding payment to former coach Luc Eymael.
The Belgian tactician joined Chippa in August 2025 from DRC outfit St-Éloi Lupopo, but lasted just seven matches.
The Chilli Boys released a statement on Monday afternoon which read as below, however, the club state the matter “is addressed in good spirit” and the club have been granted until the next registration window to pay the outstanding amount of “approximately R200 000”.

Since leaving South African shores, Eymael has taken charge of JS Kairouan in the Tunisian Ligue 1, but faces a conundrum with the club sitting in the relegation zone, in 14th place.
The Gqeberha-based outfit have been on a good run as they look to secure top-flight status for next season, sitting in 13th place with 24 points and with five matches to go.
This past weekend, they came close to walking away with three points in their Betway Premiership clash against Polokwane City but conceded an 86th-minute penalty for a 1-1 draw.
