Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has responded to whether he’d love to stay put at the club, as their form begins to improve following a difficult spell earlier this season.
Amakhosi have now secured four consecutive Betway Premiership victories, bouncing back strongly after a run of four straight defeats. They currently occupy third place on 42 points from 22 matches.
After a 2-0 win over TS Galaxy this past weekend, Kaze was asked if he would like to remain at the club.
He acknowledged that consistency had been a challenge during their tenure, including when Nasreddine Nabi was still in charge.
Without revealing much about his future, Kaze emphasised that their focus is on serving the club and giving their best in the remaining fixtures.
“I think that we are here to serve the club and I believe that the consistency has been lacking a little bit because even I remember last season we could win one game or two games at maximum but that consistency of having a run of two, three, four games was a little bit lacking,” said Kaze.
“I think that we emphasise every day at training that we need to stay hungry every time, we need to take opportunity of every training, every exercise that we do to improve ourselves because we are in such a big club that you can’t allow yourself to relax or to feel that you have arrived.
“About the last part of the question, we have eight games to go and as coaches we know what we want to do and we are here to serve the club and we will do our best for the remaining games.”
