Pirates Edge Closer To DDC Title

Orlando Pirates will have a chance to move closer to the DStv Diski Challenge title when they take on AmaZulu FC while Mamelodi Sundowns aim to push the title challenge to the last day in this weekend’s fixtures.

Pirates are closer than before to the DDC league title as they face Usuthu tomorrow morning. Buccaneers have never been this closer to the title in the 11 years of the league.

On paper, the game against Usuthu should be easy for Pirates as Usuthu suffered three straight defeats. Buccaneers remain the highest goalscoring team in the league.

Looking at the top goalscorer, Sundowns striker Bennett Mokoena scored 20 goals, which is five goals away from equalling Boitumelo Radiopane’s record. Stellenbosch FC striker Tauric Gamildien follows with 14 goals.
