Rulani Mokwena’s Al Ittihad SC were held to a draw by Elettihad, as Thembinkosi Lorch returned.
Mokwena faced a tough opponent this afternoon at home with hope of keeping his 100% record after three wins in a row.
Lorch who missed the last two games was included in the match day squad but started the game on the bench.
In the 11th minute Burkina Faso international Stephen Aziz Ki opened the scoring for Mokwena’s men.
The red and white went into the break leading by 1-0.
Lorch was introduced in the 72nd minute with hope of securing the three points or adding to the scoreline.
However, with six minutes remaining before the final whistle, Elettihad equalized through Mohammed Al Kreik to make it 1-1.
Al Ittihad shared the spoils but remained top the Libyan Premier League Group 2 with 39 points, leading by eight points.
