Former PSL referee Victor Hlungwani is of the notion that Magesi FC goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze does not have a case after claiming to have been impeded in their heavy loss to Kaizer Chiefs.
Dikwena Tsa Meetse fell to a 4-1 crushing by the Glamour Boys at the new Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday.
Flavio Da Silva opened the scoring for Amakhosi before Wandile Duba added the second. It was three via Mduduzi Shabalala before the hosts pulled one back through Diteboho Mofokeng.
Khanyisa Mayo completed the rout with the fourth goal late in the game for the all-important maximum points on the road.
Magesi remained rooted at the base of the Betway Premiership standings while Amakhosi further increased their chances of finishing in third spot, a position that will see them qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
With the visitors leading 1-0 in the 36th minute, the Zimbabwean shotstopper was fouled in the box after attempting to collect a cross from a corner kick.
Chipezeze however collided with teammate Lehlogonolo Mokone as the ball fell kindly to Duba who tucked it home from close range to make it 2-0.
The former Baroka FC goalminder rushed off to the referee to complain that we has impeded, something which was thwarted off by referee Masixole Bambiso.
Hlungwani delved into the incident, equally applauding Bambiso for making the correct call.
“When we go to Law 12, an offence must be committed against an opponent,” he said on Soccerzone.
“If it’s committed against a teammate, there’s no offence. He’s complaining to the referee that he was impeded. Who impeded him? Look at him complaining.
“Let’s show it to you that Chipezeze does not have a case. He was impeded by his own teammate.

“Mokone there impeding Chipezeze and Wandile Duba says ‘Thank You Very Much, Christmas comes once in Polokwane’.”
Allan Freese’s charges did however bounce back in style as they put Durban City to the sword, running out 5-2 victors to keep their survival hopes alive and move into 14th spot with five matches left.
