Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has opened up about speculation surrounding his future at the club as the current campaign draws closer to its conclusion.

Ben Youssef has been leading Amakhosi alongside fellow co-coach Cedric Kaze since the departure of Nasreddine Nabi at the start of the season.

The duo originally joined Chiefs as part of Nabi’s technical team ahead of the 2024/25 campaign before eventually taking charge of the first team.

Under their leadership, Chiefs have shown significant improvement in both domestic competitions and the CAF Confederation Cup.

The coaching pair managed to guide the Soweto giants to a third-place finish in the Betway Premiership, securing qualification for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup with two matches still remaining in the league campaign.

Amakhosi currently occupy third place on the standings with 51 points collected from 28 league matches, highlighting the progress made under Ben Youssef and Kaze this season.

“We are here to work,” said Ben Youssef after the match.

“You can ask the board, not for me.”
