TS Galaxy interim coach Bernard Parker has confirmed that youngster Seluleko Mahlambi has suffered an ankle injury.
The 21-year-old was spotted hobbling off in their stunning 3-2 win over Mamelodi Sundowns at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Mahlambi has been in fine form for the Rockets this campaign and has racked up six goals and five assists in 28 Betway Premiership matches.
He again proved difficult for the Sundowns defence with his skill and pace, being fouled in the 18-yard area for Galaxy’s penalty just seven minutes in.
Parker revealed that he is adamant Mahlambi will recover in time for their next league fixture which is on 23 May away to Golden Arrows.
“The medical team says he’s got a ankle injury,” he said in his post-match interview on SuperSport TV.
“Maybe he twisted it or he got a knock.
“He’s a strong lad. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I know he will recover in time because we’re only gonna have our next fixture after 10 days.”
