Stellenbosch FC are pursuing the signing of former Orlando Pirates striker Sinoxolo Kwayiba, who returned to Chippa United in January.
Stellenbosch FC have taken a significant step towards securing Kwayiba’s services. Having already initiated discussions with Chippa, the Cape Winelands outfit are keen on finalizing the deal.
Meanwhile, Kwayiba is expected to play a pivotal role for the Chilli Boys in the season finale, as the team battles to avoid the promotion playoffs when they will face Kaizer Chiefs/
Since rejoining Chippa from Pirates in January 2026, the 26-year-old has scored six goals and provided one assist.
Having missed the two AFCON tournaments and the recent FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Kwayiba has not given up hopes on making it to the upcoming FIFA World Cup in North America.
Conversely, Stellenbosch aim to conclude the season on a high note, having secured their status for the next season, with a target of breaking into the top eight.
