Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has outlined four moments they need to get right if they are to add a second star above their crest later tonight.

Masandawana are within a huge chance to create South African history by becoming the first team in the Southern region to win the CAF Champions League for the second time.

The Brazilians are away to ASFAR Rabat in Sunday’s CAF Champions League final second leg at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium and hold a slight advantage coming into this tie with a 1-0 first leg win courtesy of Aubrey Modiba’s strike in Tshwane a week ago.

In order to erase last season’s disappoint after they fell at the last hurdle against Pyramids FC, Sundowns will be hoping to shut the door at the back while looking to penetrate the opposition defence on the other end.

Speaking ahead of the do-or-die encounter, the Portuguese touched on certain principles that will aid his charges reach the Promised Land.

“This game, as any other game, will have four different moments that the team has to handle in the right way,” he told the media.

“There will be moments where we will have to play without the ball, that means we have to defend in order to conquer the ball.

“Sometimes defending can be the most aggressive moment of your game if you’re really committed, strong and aggressive on the way that you defend.

“But there will be moments that we will have the ball and it’s important also to play that moment because that moment puts us more aligned with what we are as identity of a team and of a club.

“I think it’s very important that we are a very strong team on those four moments, also we really need to be strong on defensive and offensive set-pieces.

“And that’s how you can win a match like this.”
