AmaTuks have announced that the club has parted ways with its head coach Kwanele Kopo following the end of the 2025/26 season.
Kopo leaves after a one-season stay at University of Pretoria, having joined at the beginning of the campaign, with the goal of promoting the club to the Betway Premiership.

AmaTuks finished the season in the 11th place with 35 points after a total of 30 matches.
Kopo expressed his words of thanks for the opportunity granted by the club as he becomes unattached ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
THE CLUB STATEMENT
“The University of Pretoria Football Club (“AmaTuks”) officially announces that the club and the Head Coach have mutually agreed to part ways with immediate effect,” the club announced.
“AmaTuks would like to express its deepest gratitude for the level of professionalism and dedication of
the coach during his tenure at the club. We are grateful for his service and the knowledge imparted on our players and staff during his stay.
“He made a meaningful contribution to the club’s technical development and competitive progress. We wish him well in future endeavours” – AmaTuks CEO Mr Kenneth Neluvhalani.
“I am thankful for the opportunity afforded to me by the club. I will always appreciate the time spent here at AmaTuks. I am grateful for the support from the Chairman of the Board Mr Xolani Hadebe, the Director of Tuks Sport Mr Steven Ball, the CEO Mr Kenneth Neluvhalani, the AmaTuks staff, players and the University of Pretoria community at large” – Kwanele Kopo.
