Steve Barker’s Simba SC advanced to the Tanzanian Federation Cup final after thrashing Coastal Union 4-0, with Rushine De Reuck on the score sheet.
Senegalese striker Libasse Gueye opened the scoring in the 19th minute and Simba went into the break leading by 1-0.
After the hour mark, Nickson Kibabage doubled the lead for Simba to make it 2-0. The Tanzanian giants put the game to bed when former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck made it 3-0 from the penalty spot after 77 minutes.
On-form, 35-year-old Clatous Chama made it 4-0 just three minutes to complete the rout.
Simba made qualified for the final of the Federation Cup, giving Barker an opportunity to lift his second trophy of the season after they already won the after they already lifted the Muungano Cup under the former Stellenbosch FC head coach.
Simba will now face the winner between Azam and Young Africans in the Federation Cup final.
Barker’s men are unbeaten in 30 games and are still chasing the treble, sitting just two points behind Premier League leaders Young Africans with three games remaining.
