Former Stellenbosch FC midfielder Ibraheem Jabaar looks set for a move to Simba SC – as they lead the race ahead of AmaZulu.
The 23-year-old is currently a free agent after failing to agree a new deal with Stellenbosch and had been lined with several PSL clubs – with Usuthu firm in their pursuit.
However, it appears the Nigeria youth international will now be reunited with his former head coach Steve Barker at Simba SC in Tanzania.
Barker has already signed the likes of Isnael Toure, and Anicet Oura whom he worked with in South Africa – while Rushine de Reuck and Neo Mema were already part of the squad upon his arrival, signed by previous coach Fadlu Davids.
Jabaar scored six goals and seven assists in 140 games for the club, while he also spent a season on loan in Israel with Maccabi Perah Tikvah where he featured 31 games, scoring one goal with four assists.
